Having been invited for a duo performance at the Perth Jazz Fest (Australia, WA) 2022 we decided getting together three weeks before in Sophie’s new hometown Brisbane (QLD). During a first rehearsal we both realized that we are communicating on the same wavelength and we started discussing the idea of recording together. Being equally impressed by her compositions as well as her pianistic skills I enjoyed the extensive use of my flutes. It turned out that Sophie’s first instrument was – the flute!
